Staycation Continues

We took it easy yesterday but the kids did spend a few hours in the pool at the Y. That left the girls ready to go this morning. It was supposed to be the coldest day of the week, so we headed downtown to the science museum. It took us a few minutes to get our bearings, but once we located a map, we were off and running. The Gadget area and the Space area were the favorites. Adia proved to be quite adept at operating the robotic arms in the Space exhibit. Malaika participated answering questions at the Rat Basketball. We also took in the Dolphins movie on the extreme screen. The girls were not so sure they wanted to do the movie, but they enjoyed it very much. By the time the museum closed and we were heading home, snow was falling. And we thought it was spring!

One might think that all day exploring the science museum would have worn the girls out. But that was not to be. After dinner, they begged to go to the pool. So, for the third day running, we headed over to the Y. We are certainly getting our money’s worth out of the membership this week. I took the opportunity to walk a mile on the track while the girls swam under the watchful eye of the Kids’ Time staff. We were all worn out by the time we headed home.

Malaika had a good time making the dinosaur skeleton move around.

Adia’s favorite place in Gadgets, the ball launch.

Malaika was amazed at so many things.

Tomorrow, it is supposed to warm up and we’re heading out to the Zoo.
