Once a month we head to the salon for the girls to get their hair done. The big one gets hers braided and the little one has her locks tightened. It is not always without trauma. Little one chose to have her hair locked because she liked the style (and boy does it fit her, it’s perfect!) but also because she could not stand to have her hair either braided or unbraided. This is the third month in a row that she has made it through the tightening process without tears. Progress.
It’s been many years since tears have been an issue for the big one. The focus lately has been her looking for a more “grown up” braid style. We are fortunate their stylist is hip and always helpful. She came away today with a head full of grown up bounce.
