One minute she is steppin’ up and mature, surprising me with her choices and insight. The next minute she is two years old again having trouble falling asleep and needing her mama. Today was one of those. Up and down. Back and forth. First one girl, then the other vying for attention. They shared pretty well until bedtime. Those hours of juggling, of remaining steady, of balancing the needs of each one and lovingly upholding the house rules, they are exhausting.
