Last Day of School

The second graders prepared a presentation for the last day of school. They each wrote a paragraph about what they loved and learned in second grade. All of their second grade memories gathered into a power point presentation and they read them aloud to us.

It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed an outdoor picnic lunch together after the presentation. One of the moms made a big batch of chocolate chip cookies to share with the class. They were delicious. As we were finishing up, my daughter brought me a second cookie, “For you, mommy.” I was a little take aback. “For me? I had one already,” I told her. “It has a heart on it,” she said.

Indeed it did. Love.
