Spring Break Beginnings

The sun was out, it was cool, and the garden held the promise of spring with all the crocuses in bloom.

And the tulips are starting to show signs of blooming, in a bit.

Not everything has survived weather’s barrage, however.

The girls were anxious to get to the pool. It had been a long time since they had an opportunity to get some swimming in.

Even a turkey vulture was enjoying the day sunning in the trees as we headed home.

We had to take what we could get today, they’re calling for snow tomorrow. (oh no!)

  1. Oh how I wish I could see lovely little bursts of colour like this in my garden….soon! Love the shot of your daughter at the pool edge.

Wishing you spring color very soon, Sheila! We’re getting snow today, some accumulation (they’re debating the amounts now…2-4 inches? 4-8 inches? surely time will tell), and then snow flurries through the middle of the week. Not the best weather for two girls off school! Thankfully we can visit the indoor pool every day if they want. And thank you, that shot of her at the pool’s edge was my favorite of the day.
